Does anyone know how, or know of good documentation how OWA user authentication works?
I'm trying to track down some user authentication problems where one of the commonalities that I see is when we're having the issues with a user account OWA will not allow the user to log in, but the user can log in locally (either to a machine or to the exchange server). FWIW, this is E2003 on 2003 servers and the OWA only runs in a higher level domain then the user that is having the problems with logging in. There is a local exchange server in the local domain but it does not run OWA. I guess a large part of the question is does the parent domain's exchange server running OWA have to connect back down to our local domain to authenticate the user, or can it authenticate it against the AD locally? -mmp _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/read/?forum=exchange To subscribe: http://e-newsletters.internet.com/discussionlists.html/ To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
