I did not resolve it, but it appears that just maybe it has been resolved. It was only on that one workstation. Server 03 R2, Exchange Server 2007, has had numerous updates. Maybe others reported it, and Microsoft fixed it?
The user was Vista Ultimate, Office 07, but he had a POP3 account also in Outlook (it was set up in a way he would have to leave Outlook and was prompted for the profile, and he regularly logged onto another network via Remote Desktop. The authentication loss, where he was prompted for his username and password, has not cropped up in a week or so. I didn't do anything at the server except keep it updated. The workstation is fully updated too. The server was not updated, of course, 64-bit, the mailboxes were just moved from an Exchange 03 server, a la Crowley. Thanks for thinking of me. don -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Albert Duro Sent: Tuesday, July 24, 2007 10:59 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Re: 07 authentication... don't know if you've resolved the problem, but I stumbled on a thread on a similar subject two years ago, and your situation (undefined as it is) came to mind. Mike Legase posted this link: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=317721 it has to do with 5.5, 2K and ADC, but there's a chance it might be echoed into your upgraded environment. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Holstrom, Don" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Exchange Discussions" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2007 3:17 AM Subject: RE: 07 authentication... User logs on, opens Outlook, all is as it should be. Then maybe in a couple of hours, not having logged off, when he tries to open Outlook, it asks for his password. Isn't that authentication? Or is it some other word? Exchange 07, Outlook 07, Vista Does not happen to those users on XP Server and users updated to latest published updates Should I contact Microsoft about this? I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Chris Scharff Sent: Tuesday, July 10, 2007 9:24 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: 07 authentication... I've never heard of "lost authentication", what does that mean exactly?
