Hello, we are running exchange 2003. Seems several times per hour the rpcserv.exe process spikes and bogs down the machine. The cpu utilization goes from 1%-2% to 50%-60% and its coming from the rpcserv.exe process. Did some research and it seems there are some issues with Groupshield 6 (which we are running). The only problem I have is that the box has been stable for two years now with the same application versions installed.
When the cpu does spike, the users experience the following: 1-Small box pops up periodically on the right side of outlook stating 'outlook is retrieving data from mail server'-or something like that. 2-When they click 'send' to send a message, the message stays in the outbox for 10 seconds before it goes. Any help would be appreciated.
