Certainly - we're working to account for that.

Just trying to find out if it's a viable option instead of scripting against 
the actual Outlook profile.

I can see some possible bandwidth issues.  If everyone logs in at the
same time a large group hitting the exchange servers all at once could
cause some slowdown.

Has anyone used the Office2003/2007 Resoure Kit Administrative Templates
to push out Cached Mode to a group of Outlook clients?

In some initial testing, it appears that when Outlook starts, it will
look for the policy key for "Cached Exchange Mode" and if detected, will
immediately convert the setting to cached mode and start downloading the
mailbox to the local cache...

Does that sound correct?  Should we have any concerns about pushing this
to large groups of users that probably ought to be on cached mode
anyway?
