Thank you.

They were not visible in ESM. I deleted them from within AdsiEdit without
issues.

Using Exchange 2003 System Manager, do you see these objects underneath the
routing group, connections container? It would probably be best to delete
them from there. Still, I think you're safe deleting them using ADSI Edit
if you can't do it the other way.

The Exchange org. consists of one Exchange 2007 organisation which was migr=
ated from Exchange 2003. A couple of years before the migration from 2003 t=
o 2007, the server was migrated from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003.

>From withing AdsiEdit I can see a connections object folder holding two ent=
ries for both the same server which is no longer online. This is infact the=
old Exchange 2000 server. So we are talking about the the connections obje=
ct is holding the name of the server=20

These are the DN's belonging to the entries in the connections object folde=
r. Mind that this NOT the connections object residing below an administrati=
ve group but directly under the organisation name:

CN=3DSMTP (OLDSERVERNAME-{1990D462-E548-4921-B7C4-EECDB7C4AD75}),CN=3DConne=
ctions,CN=3DOURORG,CN=3DMicrosoft Exchange,CN=3DServices,CN=3DConfiguration=
,DC=3DOURDOMAIN,DC=3DCOM

CN=3DSMTP (OLDSERVERNAME-{C9C8C69C-A921-45A3-A1B2-5DF21B0F15B6}),CN=3DConne=
ctions,CN=3DOURORG,CN=3DMicrosoft Exchange,CN=3DServices,CN=3DConfiguration=
,DC=3DOURDOMAIN,DC=3DCOM

My question is simple: is it safe to delete these objects?

Cheers,
