Double sounds a little high but a substantial increase can be expected due
to encoding.

Subject: email attachments double in size

Hello, in our Exchange 2003/Outlook 2003 environment one of our users is
having the following problem. When he forwards an email with an attachment
within the company, the attachment doubles in size (for the
sender.)

For example, user 'A' has and email in their inbox with a 5mb attachment. He
then forwards that email user 'B'. The email in User 'A's' inbox becomes
10mb.

Under normal circumstances the user would not care except that his mailbox
fills twice as fast.

Thanks in advance.
