Have you tried restarting SMTP protocol service?

I experienced a similar issue in the past that was cured by restarting
SMTP, so I set it to restart daily.

Subject: queued messages/remote server not responding

Hi all,

I cant seem to send to some domains, which we normally communicate with-
I
see the messages stuck in the queue, and when I tried sending to the
domains
from my hotmail it worked- so the recipient server is working fine-
