We are a small educational school (300 students, 75 staff/faculty), and looking to move our students to Office 365. Currently I have an Exchange 2010 SP2, and Exchange 2003 (latest SP). The students are on the Exchange 2003, and we need to retire it.
The Exchange 2010 server is all in one (i.e. all Exchange functions are on one server). I'm getting confused reading online for requirements. Do I need a separate server to be the hybrid, or can/should my current Exchange 2010 be the hybrid? I see that I will need Federated services installed. Can I use my two DC's? I've read both sides, and for our size, I think I could do it. Any pointers or recommendations are very much appreciated.
