You should have some fairly extensive information in the event log on both 
source and target server. That's what I would be looking at.

I was running the script to put a member of our Exchange 2010 DAG into 
maintenance mode. When I received the following error message.
"An active manager operation failed. Error: The database action failed. Error: 
The database was not mounted because it has experienced data loss as a result 
of a switchover or failover, and the attemp to copy the last logs from the 
source server failed.
The copier will automatically retry after a short delay.
The delay has not been short about 1/2 hour so far. Any suggestions as to my 
next course of action.
