Greetings,
EXCHANGE 2010 SP2 RU3 servers.
Most OUTLOOK clients are now 2013, but I don't think that matters.

My CIO has asked me to verify some things today regarding storage.
I am pretty certain I know the answer to my first question but asking for
clarification before I answer to him.

DEAN sends an attachment to 500 internal faculty with a 2 MEG attachment.
My understanding is the specific attachment will be stored only once on the
server (taking 2 MEGs) and not stored individually in each user mailbox (
taking 1 GIG of server storage).
Please clarify.

Second question from CIO regards users who put a graphic in their footer.
I never thought about this question before
So DEAN has a 100K graphic in his footer and sends emails to 500 faculty users
on a daily.
Is that graphic in the footer stored in each users mailbox (taking space) or is
it handled like an attachment with only a single point on the server taking
100K storage or does that footer add 100K to each user mailbox each time the
DEAN sends and email.

Thanks for any response or questions.

Dana
