Different subnets? From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Stringham, Steven Sent: Thursday, September 26, 2013 2:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Exchange] DAG - log files different sizes
I have a DAG with multiple databases – three servers have copies of the databases in two datacenters. I use snapshots on my SAN to backup the databases. This moves the log files to a directory where they are purged later – after many other backups. They all snap at about the same time. So, it theory, they (the three servers) should all have about the same log growth during a particular window of time. But I am finding that at least one of the servers experiences much larger log growth on the same database during the same window of time. For example, server 1 may have 500mb of logs, server 2 might be about the same, but server 3 (in the other datacenter) will have 2.5g of logs during the same window of time. Other times, they may have very similar log sizes. I have no idea why this might be.
