that does not work in 2010... BUT, I can pull up properties by opening the
contact.

however, revising the issue.... the contacts I'm working in are in a public
folder. for our local contacts (inside our org) I can hover over the
address and find the "member of" tab...

MS says "If the contact is not in the Exchange address list, organization
and member of tabs will not be present."

so thank you your info was good for inside the org. but it doesn't work
with public folders.  back to square one.
