Software clutter. I hate having multiple versions of software on a machine when
I don't have to.

That being said... As the blog post said, you can install them side by side on
the same server. What can't you do that you want to do?

No updates on that; Exchange 2010 still requires PS 2.0 and that is unlikely to
change.

Subject: [Exchange] Powershell 3.0 on Exchange 2010

After taking a Powershell class (great class by the way), the instructor highly
recommended upgrading to PowerShell 3.0. It does have a lot of features and is
compelling to do so, but I ran across this article on TechNet:

http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2012/12/14/windows-management-framework-3-0-on-exchange-2007-and-exchange-2010.aspx

The last update I saw at the top was from September 2013 and said that you had
to keep 2.0 and 3.0 on an Exchange 2010 server because Exchange 2010 could only
use 2.0. That was 3 months ago. Any further updates? Are there plans to make
Exchange 2010 PS 3.0 compliant?
