Subject: [Exchange] Litigatiion holds EXCHANGE 2010 SP2

Greetings
EXCHANGE 2010 SP2 Ru3
No mailbox quotas - we use retention tags for all users for xxx number of days.
Recoverable items (used to be dumpster?)are set to xx days.

How do you handle litigation holds?
One option is to remove all retention policies from the mailbox in question to
preserve the emails, but the user can still make changes, hard delete, etc.

After a lot of Google reading to make sure, it appears very simple to Enable
Litigation Hold in EMC for individual mailboxes and this may be a better
solution.
This should preserve everything, including version changes.
I plan to leave the URL and Comments fields blank.

Is there any downside to Enable Litigation Hold - other than that it may
require ITS staff with the proper access to recover items as requested?
Still reading on this.
Thanks for any comments.
