If you all recall, I had an issue months ago with Exchange Management Console
not working and so we ended up reimaging the server and installing AD/Exchange
fresh. For my part, I was tasked with installing Exchange 2010 for the
customer. I performed the install unaware they are going to add Exchange TMG
server to the mix. During install I selected the CAS would be Internet facing
and supplied "mail.domain.org" as the external domain name. My understanding is
if a TMG is in the mix, you would not select the CAS as Internet facing. I
checked Technet and around MS blogs but don't see anything about "disabling"
this portion of the server. I'm not sure what properties I need to remove, or
do I actually need to rerun the installation in some fashion (or the worst
case, start from scratch). With how flexible Exchange is, I figure there's
somewhere to remove that "Internet facing = true" scenario, just not sure where
to look. I'm fine with reading if someone has any helpful links, but my
searches mostly yielded disabling redirection in multi-CAS environments. Not
what I'm facing. Thank you!
