There have been a large number of these within the last few weeks. Normally I
would run the Update-MailboxDatabaseCopy command and things would correct very
quickly, but now that just hangs with no completion. My research has led me to
the ResetSearchIndex.ps1 script. My question is … does this affect client
connectivity to mail while the index is rebuilding? Specifically the error on
each DB copy with a failed Content Index;
Name : DB2\--ServerName--
ContentIndexState : Failed
ContentIndexErrorMessage : The timestamp of the catalog state is too old for
database {e853b4cb-6a02-4943-8fb4-54c066751db8}.
