Is your Outlook at current SP level? That’s the first place I’d go, it’s a
starting point.

Subject: [Exchange] Outlook Rules won’t run automatically.

Fortunately it’s hitting just me ☺

Office 365, 2013 back end.
Outlook 2010, Outlook 2007, OWA.

Had several rules (10 maybe) about two weeks ago they all stopped working
automatically but do work if I run them manually. Had to ignore it for a while
until yesterday and this is where I am now.

Trying to work with five simple rules.

[1]- after message arrives with
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> or
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> in the message header,
move it to the jDoe folder and stop processing more rules. This one works (the
two addresses happen to be secondary SMTP’s of my mailbox).

[2]- after message arrives, with
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> in the
message header, move it to the aLyris folder and stop processing more rules.
Applies to a different set of messages than [1] but still looking at message
header. Doesn’t work

[3]- after message arrives with [Exchange] in the subject, move it to the
Alyris folder and stop processing more rules. Just another attempt at looking
at the same messages as [2]. Doesn’t work.

[4]- after message arrives with MGVMNBMASTER Job Report in the subject, move it
to the zBackups folder and stop processing more rules. Doesn’t work.

[5] after message arrives from someone in our Org, move it to the jDoe folder
and stop processing more rules. (tried with a couple different someones).
Doesn’t work.

Cached mode initially, and have tried-
Online mode.
Exported rules, Deleted rules manually.
Restarted with Outlook/cleanrules) and importing rules.
Outlook /cleanrules create rules manually.
New Profile online, the rules were there.
Used Mfcmapi to delete relevant hidden inbox messages.
New profile (online), no rules present after Mfcmapi, created rules manually.

Doesn’t matter the order of the rules, or if I’ve only created one or two, or
if some are off and some are on. The only one that ever works is [1].
Same happens on other boxes- one running O2010 the other O2007. Or outlook
closed and OWA open, or Nothing open… Even deleted the profile from my phone
and the Exchange partnership for lack of ideas….

Any ideas welcome, I’m stumped!

Paul
