Correct. It’s a Windows Server Role, just like IIS. No additional licensing
required.

I've been looking for licensing info. for WAP and have come up pretty empty.
Is it simply baked into the OS with no other licensing implications as long as
the protected app is licensed correctly?

Instead of TMG, I’d use WAP – the Web Application Proxy functionality as part

Didn't Microsoft discontinue the TMG product? You may want to think about
using some kind of virtualized proxy/frontend devices that can run as VMs in
VMware or HyperV. I think F5 makes some.

We are going to be onboarding a few sister companies and hosting their separate
Exchange boxes in our datacenters. We are separating everything with the future
thought that if we or one of the companies terminates the relationship, we can
basically hand them all their servers and they can place them elsewhere with as
few admin headaches as possible on our end. With that in mind, we are going to
be building out TMGs for each company (currently 3, but likely to grow in the
next 12mons). Is it possible to create the config on one server, then
export/import to another, albeit with some tweaking of settings to match
hostname/subnets? I’ve seen on Technet descriptions of export/import on the
same server or in DR scenarios, but not for “shortcutting” the build across
multiple servers. This will be my first crack at TMG configuration, so I’m just
wondering if it is at all possible, or if the uniqueness of each build would
require starting from scratch. Thank you so much for your time!
