Yes, you should keep them. You have permissions, all over your AD, that have been assigned using those groups. If you delete the groups, and you look at the security on objects, you'll see a lot of ugly nasty bare SIDs.

So we removed our last Exchange 2007 server a year ago. Recently we have been going through AD cleaning up old groups that were no longer needed and noticed the admin groups that Exchange creates were still around. Exchange Organization Administrators Exchange Public Folder Administrators Exchange Recipient Administrators Exchange View-Only Administrators ExchangeLegacyInterop We have already added the accounts from the old groups into the new groups. After searching around and not finding anything I knew I could come here for the answer. Is there any reason to keep the old groups around since Exchange 2007 is no longer in the organization?
