Alternatively, write some powershell that runs each evening that resets particular attributes to how you want them. We do this for activesync, OWA, IMAP, etc for select groups of users so that even if their account gets mis-configured, it will reset to the correct configuration later that evening.

Yes but some of the helpdesk tend to raise users individually if they ask
nicely.. So I was looking for a way to prevent it if possible.
