Reinstall seems like a good idea. But one verification step first - does it work ok in OWA?
From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jimmy Tran Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2014 5:48 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: [Exchange] outlook 2013 free/busy and out of office errors I have a client who is running Outlook 2013 with Exchange 2010. The issue just started happening last Friday. The free/busy info for attendees is grayed out when creating a meeting. When going to set the out of office reply, that fails as well. I found documents that stated there were two bad patches from Microsoft, kb2837618 and kb2837643 that caused the issue. The issue I have is the client machine does not have these patches installed. When I try to install SP1, it errors out stating something along the lines of detecting office. When I do an office repair from control panel, it starts and closes after about 5 seconds. All updates for office fail. The next step is to uninstall/reinstall office unless someone has a better. http://www.infoworld.com/t/microsoft-windows/botched-outlook-2013-patches-kb-2837618-and-kb-2837643-break-out-of-office-reply-freebusy-and-more-232055 TIA, Jimmy
