You need to look at message headers to determine where the delay is occurring.
The "World Wide Web of Exchange and Office 365 MVPs" (i.e., our internal distribution lists) aren't complaining about this, so I suspect you have something local. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Kuehn, Shannon Sent: Monday, December 8, 2014 12:29 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Exchange] Exchange Online Protection - Any Issues? Hi gurus, We're currently experiencing some issues with sending/receiving email through EOP (our smarthost). O365 is experiencing some issues with Exchange Online as it pertains to eDiscovery content (searches and the like), but currently no known issues as it relates to mail delivery delays. Thought to turn this out to the technical community at large: - Is anyone experiencing similar issues with mail routing? - Any ideas on what things we could test/try? - Here's a little bit about our configuration: o We have a hybrid Exchange 2013 environment with 3 servers (2 on prem and 1 at DR in a DAG config). o No random log files filling up drives, as I have a script that runs once each night that checks overall infrastructure health. All databases are healthy/mounted, all checks pass, connectivity happens at Outlook/owa, etc. o The thing we're noticing now is that external email being sent has a pretty close to real time delivery. It's email coming to my company from the outside. Thankfully internal works VERY well, so the bulk of my headaches this morning have been minimal. Any extra thoughts to try as I wait on Exchange Online Protection to get us more information? I performed some extended message traces that Microsoft is currently analyzing. Just weird... Oh and nothing happened to the environment. We've been fine until this morning...no recent changes either. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Email Confidentiality Notice The contents of this e-mail message and any attachments are intended solely for the addressee(s) and may contain confidential and/or legally privileged information.
