So we are in the process of migrating from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013
and I have a couple of questions.

Do we even need to enable the built-in malware protection? We already block
stuff through our edge spam filter so we're thinking we can safely disable
this feature.

We can't use our old archiving service anymore, so we will be testing
In-Place Hold and In-Place Archiving to see if it will meet our needs. We're
hoping that it does so we don't have to use a 3rd party solution. If we do
go the 3rd party route, it seems like MailSore
(http://www.mailstore.com/en/mailstore-home.aspx) is a better solution than
most.

Also how do you determine which database you should place the mailboxes? Is
it random, based off last name etc.?

Any other thoughts or tips that would help us?

Thanks,

Caleb
