Agreed.  It just gives him a copy of the messages to resend when/if required.  
My response was to the direct question of replaying the queue, not the original 
problem.  My suggestion apparently did not resolve the issue, so I suggest

other recommendations, but what I used was the below powershell commands: To

Can  i safely stop the service, remove the mail.que file and let it replay (MS

is the “Last Error” displayed in the messages queues? I had a similar problem, 
although with a Split Exchange 2013 Mailbox CAS implementation.  The 
remediation steps may be helpful in your case if  the errors are DNS related.
