My understanding is that there was no online archives for on-prem mailboxes.

That may vary depending on what Licensing level you have.

I have a hybrid exchange setup with o365. I have Exchange 2010 SP3 UP7 on prem.

I've enabled about 300 online archives with most still having their primary 
mailbox onprem.

I've been running like this for about 6 months with no issues, today My users 
that are not fully o365 (meaning both primary and archive) cannot access their 
archive if they are on windows 7.  I've tested both office 2010 and 2013. If 
they are on win 8 with office 2013 they can access it.

Using OWA they seem to be able to access their archives.

But users that are full o365 can access their archives from any combination of 
OS and office.

This just started today. I know it's not a patch because we don't push patches 
to our citrix servers we use PVS to patch them and they were not rebooted to 
get an updated image.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I've confirmed that dirsync is working and 
running.
