I put this out on the Microsoft Forum and David Wang came up with this: Apply rule to messages when the “X-MS-Exchange-Inbox-Rules-Loop” matches [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> send “Block” to sender with “5.7.1”
This seems to work with a test user on both auto-forward and redirects. I should also be able to wildcard the username to hit the specific mailboxes I’m looking to block. Does anyone see a problem with using this method? Wow. I wonder if that changed at some point? I could have sworn reading that it should block both - but that was a few years back at least since last thinking about it, and I can't find any current information about it. Are you testing a mailbox with exchange admin privs, or a "normal user" type of test account? I would test this myself personally, but I currently don't have access to an Exchange server. -- Espi On Sun, Nov 20, 2016 at 9:10 PM, Maglinger, Paul <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: External. First, if that's the case, isn't that kind of dumb? If you have the capability to prevent auto-forwarding with a transport rule why would you then provide a mechanism to the user to circumvent that measure? Second, if the above is not the case and there is a way to set up a transport rule to prevent the redirects, can someone please point it out because I don't see the option. If there is a transport rule to prevent auto-forwarding will it also apply to the redirect? Thanks, Paul
