True, there are a lot of CMDB books. I'm edging into the CMDB world, working on a project to provide a major clean up of a customer's CMDB database that has been imported into Service Now. We're finding lots of issues, application and servers pointed to the wrong service groups, etc, records for servers not up to date and the like. I'm looking for your basic CMDB 101 book.

I taught ITIL for a while. Just asking for a "CMDB book" is kinda like asking for a piece of paper. There are lots and lots of pieces of paper, but you probably need a specific piece of paper for a specific need. There was a posting on Friday, from you I think, asking about CMDB books. I wouldn't say it's dead, but the volume is certainly quite minimal these days. It's been almost three weeks since someone posted here. Anyone still here?
