Vinny, Sounds like your box is also running IIS - if so, have you applied the Code Red patch? Also, turn up logging. I have 7031's on all the services that wouldn't stay up. Technet talks about these errors occurring after a diasterrecovery operation which I have not done. I have about 2.5 gig available space. -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Miller [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, August 13, 2001 11:32 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Services Stopped Errors in the event log would help/// But first guess .. 2140 <?> not enough hard drive space. You are not doing online backups and the drive has filled up with log files and other junk? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Vinny Avallone Sent: Monday, August 13, 2001 5:32 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: Services Stopped I had a very interesting thing happened this weekend. I have a Windows 2000 machine with E2K. It has been running pretty well, until yesterday. I got a call from my IS manager saying our company was rejecting any incoming email. I logged on to the Exchange and checked the services (MS Exchange service, SMTP, WWW etc) and to my surprise they were all stopped. So I promptly started them which they did. I then waited maybe a few minutes, refreshed the view and they had been stopped again, they would not stay started. Since I was on a dial up link and it was Sunday afternoon I ended up rebooting (which worked for now) and started investigating this morning. I'm pretty new and still quite untrained, but OTJ training is part of my world. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. -- Vinny Avallone System Administrator (410) 872-1535 _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
