Selectively unblock the pager company's domain.

Yes.  That's what it means to autoreply to the internet.

It's far easier to start with "blanket blocking" [1] and selectively
unblock.  If you go down the selectively block road, you'll be on that road
forever with no hope of an exit.

So you can find out who's forwarding their mail against company policy.
Legal forwarding might include a pager addresses or something.

Also, is forwarding considered the same thing as an autoreply?

Blanket blocking is probably not what this person wants to accomplish.
