A quick solution is move the mailbox to another server in the site, via
ExAdmin. User needs to be logged out of Outlook. This has worked for me in
the past. If there was corruption, it gets cleaned up as messages are
gathered from the store for the move.

If Outlook hangs or burps when opening a particular folder, it's often due
to a corrupt item, or message. (Each calendar entry is a message.) In that
case, you need to find the corrupt message and delete it. Sometimes
changing the view makes that possible, sometimes you might have to open the
mailbox with an old Exchange 5.0 client.

What do you mean by cleaning out corrupted items? Deleting the user's
mailbox?
This is to resolve the Free/Busy error correct?

You'll need to clean out the corrupt item(s). Then you'll need to update
cdo.dll on the OWA server and any server running the event service.
