Your never having seen the format domain\userid\alias doesn't invalidate
it.  Please test yourself.  Make a userid of JDOE with an alias of
JohnDoe.  

Since my assessment of Adil's linguistic heritage is being requested, I
must admit that my wild guess is that his first language is Urdu.  And I
call it "English".  And his command of it is WAY better than my dismal
command of my second, third, fourth, or fifth languages, in any of which
I may or may not be able to still order a beer.  If you'd like, I will
launch (off-list) into a tirade about the ridiculously poor linguistic
ability of we Americans, to include our "native" tongue.  For some
reason my pet peeve meter (erroneously and quickly) fired off on Adil's
post.  I apologize.  I'll go re-read some Pearl S. Buck classics now.
