I have installed two Exchange 2000 Enterprise servers, one of them has been configurated as Front-End (FE) Server. After rebooting the FE Server, I use OWA and Internet Explorer i.e.: http://front-end/exchange/user1, then a window appears asking account and password. However, no matter what account/password I type, i cannot pass the authentication..... I also open "Internet Services Manager" of the FE Server, and discover that inside the Default Web Site ->public, Exchange, Exadmin appear as RED icons (error icons). They are pointed to M:\exchange_server\MBX, public folders, etc. However, all of these are on the BE server and it is not finding them. I have followed the Microsoft whitepaper for FE/BE configuration to the letter. What is it that I am missing?
