How about putting a button in their Outlook bar. You can modify that pretty
easily (the *.fav file). Here's a snippet from a recent post by Nikki
Cleland which I think would be quite useful for you.

<snip>
*.fav Stores information about the Outlook Bar.
*.pwl Windows level file that contains any stored passwords for
Windows.
*.adr Field mapping file for outlook import/export.
views.dat Stores information on custom views
extend.dat Stores information regarding add-ins
outcmd.dat Stores custom toolbar information.
outitems.log Stores a log of outlook items that were automaticly placed
journal.
offitems.log Stores a log of office items that were automaticly placed
journal.
outlook.box This file that holds that holds the custom control toolbox.
outform.dat Stores information about your custom forms.
frmcache.dat Stores information about your default forms.
outlprnt Stores information about custom print settings.

.fav - this stores customizations of the Outlook bar. You can move it
between setups if you want but don't need to if you haven't customized or
don't mind customizing again on the new system.

views.dat - this is a cache of custom views. Since the actual views are
stored in the .pst, there is no need to move this and indeed MS says you
should not.

outcmd.dat - this is the toolbar and menu customization file. It can be
moved between machines; in fact, Microsoft encourages it as a way for people
to swap toolbar customizations or for IT depts to rollout corporate
customization standards.

*.rwz - These files contain your rules. While it is possible you could copy
this file over, Microsoft recommends that you export and import rules using
the Options button off the Tools | Rules Wizard menu option. (I've had
reports of copied rules not working if the directory structure changes.)

Some of these files will be in the same directory as your main .pst but
others will be in C:\windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook (or an
equivalent -- windows may be winnt and if you are using multiple profiles,
there will be \profiles\username after \windows).

You might also wish to move your custom signatures and stationary if you use
those features. These are usually located in Signature and Stationary
subfolders of the Application Data\Microsoft directories. They will normally
have extensions of .rtf, .htm or .html.

Subject: Public Folder Favourites

Hi Group,

Is it possible to force certain public folders into peoples PF Favourites?
We are a large international corporation with many EX sites in the
organisations this makes the public folder hierarchy quite crowded and not
easy to manage as most of the public folders are only relevant to their
parent sites, but even though I cancel the replication of incoming
non-relevant PF's I still get an empty folder showing up. I would like to
be able to 'force' certain folders into the favourites whilst allowing
people to choose any other relevant folders for themselves.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
