Yes.  The standard export feature in Outlook would do that.   However, if
you want an automated tool, you may want to look at archiving solutions.
Although expensive IXOS is the first one that comes to mind (www.ixos.com I
believe is the web site).  Another alternative would be to write your own
CDO code.

is there any easy way to a) export (to PST) for long-term storage a
number of elements in a number of PF, selected by date or other
criteria, and b) possibly if requested remove those items afterwards ?

Basically something like Mailbox manager for PF, possibly more geared
for periodic semimanual operation ?
