How can I send (SMTP) mail to an internet email address with a return
address of other than the primary for my mailbox?
I've found 2 ways that work, but neither is very elegant. Is there another
way?
1) Set up a custom recipient, then use that recipient in the "From" box of
the email. It appears that only an administrator can do this and there
doesn't appear to be a security setting to allow a general user to send on
behalf of the custom recipient.
2) I can create a mailbox with the alternate email address as the primary
and then send on behalf of that user. This can be done by non-admins but
the smtp headers that are created still reference the primary email address
on the primary account in some places - I would like the email to look as if
it came completely from the alternate address. (This is the method I am
using to send this email.)
