did you check the IMC Queue to see if they're in there & maybe they're being
held (ie. host unreachable, etc.)?

Subject: Mail in Pickup folder unreliable

Hi, I have a question regarding the Pickup folder in Exchange 5.5.

I have written some ASP that constructs an RFC822 compliant mail message and
drops it into the Pickup directory. It is constructed with a full internet
email address for sender and recipient.

This works, but sometimes takes a long time to be delivered, ie. several
hours. Other times it is delivered in seconds, but in neither case is at as
fast as a similaely addressed email sent with Outlook. The files disappear
from the Pickup directory immediately, and I can't locate them in any other
folder or queue. So my question is, what is happening to my emails, and why
do they sometimes take so long to get through?
