There was a discussion on same topic few months a go. Hit the archive..
And your users will spend more time on thursdays in reading mail.. since
they now have mondays mails too..
Better alternative. Give them OWA and ask them to access mails from home on
week ends. So less time spent on mondays.
(Yes I can guess what is the "Bussiness reason" for this)

We are restricting users at the moment by hiding them in the Address Book. I
havnt taken it to the extream and tried every possible options within the
mail config once a user gets refused. But its held our users at bay

Someone else has already mentioned this, but hiding a mailbox won't prevent
someone from logging in via Outlook etc. It will prevent you from logging
in via Web Access though.
