While I was in line for gas at 6pm last night, the owner of a BP here in
Michigan raised prices $.35/gallon.
When I asked him how he could raise prices on gas he already paid for? He
answered with a smirk "Because I can!". Needless to say I had a few choice
words for him as I exited.
Now I know there is probably nothing I can say or do to stop these greedy
sob's from making an extra $ on Americas Darkest Day. But trust me, I've
kept a mental note of those who have and of those who haven't participated
in the price gouging. I urge the rest of you to do the same and keep that
in mind next time you fill up.

Ditto, here in Mississippi. Governor declared state of emergency so that
they would have the power to stop price gouging.
They had one report that an oil company told their gas stations to raise
pump prices $0.25 every hour till the end of yesterday!
I think it should be considered an act of treason...

Here n Texas the Governor and the State Attorney General have both stated
that they will prosecute anyone found guilty of gouging during this time.
So far I have not seen anyone raising their prices in our area - North
Dallas. Exxon and BP have both stated they are freezing their prices too so
no one should see prices rise at their pumps. As long as people don't go
into a panic buy mode everything will be fine.
SO DON'T PANIC.
