Luke,
What you need to do is give whoever needs permissions to that mailbox. Go
into the mailbox properties and give them access. From there, when the user
goes to respond to an email he needs to click on the "View" drop down menu
and select the "From Field" Then all you have to do is click the from field
and select the techsupport mailbox. And that will allow you to send mail
from that specific mailbox. Let me know if you need some clarification on
anything.

Subject: responding from an exchange group
I am running windows 2k sp2 with Exchange 5.5 Enterprise sp3
what we currently have is a Techsupport group with about 12 members and
whenever someone emails [EMAIL PROTECTED] all 12 get it, but
when the techsupport engineer answers the question the client sees their
SMTP address and not [EMAIL PROTECTED] it says they do not have
permissions to send on behalf of this user
how do I set permissions on an exchange group to be able to send emails on
behalf
thanks,
Luke
