I have read (somewhere - can't remember where) that there is a scam spam going around. If anyone wishes to donate to firefighter relief funds here is a site <http://www.firehouse.com/> with links to an official fund (url passed on by the wife of a firefighter not in NY so I am assuming that is the official fund because the name matches things I have read elswhere but as always do your own homework). Also many local fire fighters groups are expanding their funds to accept donations intended for NY and then sending those on through whatever channels they have set up.
