Anybody have tried and used mailmover?

Is it still available somewhere?

Both are free. Mailmover has been uploaded onto www.xdrive.com
<http://www.xdrive.com> (userid=ksnook1,password = ksnook1) in the public
folder under mailmover.

MailMover is from my company and ExMerge is from MS.

Thanks for your help Kev
We will have it in the same org when we get our new machines.
I will uninstall exchange on our test machine and reinstall it in the same
org/site
Where can I get mailmover and exmerge from and how much is it.

I think the best way is to use ExMerge. This will export all mail to a pst
which can they be imported into any mailbox.

I have written a utility called MailMover but this only (currently) works in
the same Org. I'm coding it to use a different Org but this probably won't
be available for another month.

Looking at this again. A few questions:

1) Are you looking to move the users mail as well as their Directory
entries?
Just their mail, they don't have any directory entries, all clients are
using OE5 pop3
2) Is there any reason for having the server names the same? If not, why do
you have to install the server in a different ORG/SITE
No, our Internet administrator set-up the test machine without thinking and
he has set-up up with a different org/site/server name.
I have have told him that we need to have the new machine set-up in the same
org/site with a different server name. Which I was just
confirming with yourselves. We will only ever have one server but we are
having a new machine and are having it installed at
a collocated site where we will be accessing it remotely using PC anywhere.

3) What about a restore of the IS?
What about a restore of the IS

Sorry if we a bit naive, but we are still learning exchange, I have a 101
other E-mail servers, web servers applications to worry about.

Can anyone advise

We are currently in the process of setting up a new machine
from scratch which will be used as our new exchange server which will then
be installed at the other side of the country as we are collocating our
servers.
We are currently just setting up a test machine in preparation for when our
new
servers arrive. We have set it up as NT 4.0 sp6 PDC exchange server 5.5 sp3
To make life easy for us, should we ensure that our new machine is in the
same
organisation and same site.
I have currently put it on the same LAN and put in a different org and site
as I didn't want to risk it conflicting with the other exchange server which
is live.
We have set up a trust and have successfully used the extraction and
directory import
to create mailboxes from the live machine which we have discovered to be a
waste of time
because we will still have to create an NT user account one by one to enable
our users to
connect and it will automatically will create a mailbox when you add an NT
user anyway.
Basically what I want to know is, are there any free migration utilities out
there. I have looked
at mailbox migration manager v1.5 but it will only do 5 and then there is a
cost of 999.
What is exmerge like.

Comments Appreciated
