Good guess... ;o)

I'd suggest ISScan if you want to rid yourself of this problem. I
thought Trend was configurable to actually remove the attachments...
Furthermore, if I understand this correctly your running an AV scanner
at the "file" level on your exchange server... BAD IDEA!

have updated my trend and all my workstations are clean but I keep
recieving on the serveer that files are infected in that folder. I am
guessing we are probably recieving infected email.

Well an uneducated guess would tell me it's for incoming smtp mail...
What did your guess come up with? Have you run ISScan on your IS to
remove any readme.exe or .eml attachments?

You might consider that...

I wanted Andy David to answer that question. He's Avi's special "Tech
Buddy". We're pairing guys who ask neophyte questions with experienced
technical people who owe me big and who have also angered me in some
fashion. It's a great program and I'm optimistic about its potential.

If *you* know someone who would be a great "Tech Buddy", let me know who
he is and which person you'd like to inflict upon him, and I'll see what
I can do.

Gosh, that info is hard to find on www.microsoft.com...

NT4 server: 486/33, 32MB RAM if running IIS 4
Win 2K Prof: Pentium 133, 32MB RAM min, 64MB recommended
Win XP Ready: Win2K capable with at least 128MB RAM

Gave up looking at Microsoft's site having gleaned that much info.
