There seems to be something wrong with permissions on few of our public folders on Ex2000 and AD native mode. It seems to be impossible to get and grab owner permissions for the administrator. Possibly this could be because of mixup of clients (Outlook, cdo 1.21, OWA) accessing this folder. It started when some clients stopped working on some items in this folder. Probably this is because some items had different security settings than on the folder. I even tried to get into explorer throw all permission away and to inherit it again. (don't remember the q-article). Not quite the same problem. I don't get error in browsing the folder in the System manager tool. Is there a tool that I can use to reset permissions on the folder (folders) and the items within and make sure that item level security don't apply on the folder.
