I don't have Outlook 2002 here, but I would assume that there is a default
.prf file that gets installed with it. Check this out, and see if it can be
modified to fit your needs. Also, check the installation CD and see if there
are sample .prf files there.

As for you "sniffer"-- probably the simplest would be to either check the
time stamp on outlook.exe, or find some file that exists in 2002 but not
2000 and test for it's [1] existence.

Subject: Using profgen with outlook 2002

Good day - I have just put a script in place to use the profgen.exe to
config all my outlook clients automatically. All are outlook 2000 save about
3 users. The batch file doesn't work with Outlook2002 or rather I'm sure the
PRF file is probably in the wrong format. Does anyone know of the proper
format? And maybe a way I could write into my logon script a "sniffer" as to
which version of outlook they are using?

Thanks.

 Dustin
