NAV-MSE doesn't hook into the IMC; it is either MAPI and/or AVAPI 1.x[1], or MAPI and/or AVAPI 2.0 if you're using Exchange 2000 and NAV-MSE 2.5. What SPs have you got on that server? What exact version of NAV-MSE? Is it part of the NAV Corporate suite? If so, you'll have NAV for Gateways sitting there also, to be put on your new SMTP gateway if you like.
All of these products have been extensively updated, and Symantec for some unfathomable reason hides that fact. Go to their customer support web site and ask for newer versions if you need them. There are some nasty bugs in earlier versions. NAV-MSE is up to 2.17 for Exchange 5.x, 2.51 for Exchange 2000. NAV-Gateways is up to 2.51.7. Desktop product has also been extensively updated since most people installed it. www.symantec.com/techsupp/bizsolutions/nav/main_nav-ms-exchange2.html click "contact customer support" and ask them to email you the ftp site/password for the appropriate versions. Wait approximately twelve Ferengi fifth-planet-rotation periods for a response. -tom [1] I think; I haven't used that version of either Exchange or NAV for a while now. > -----Original Message----- > From: Norris [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Posted At: Friday, October 26, 2001 07:42 AM > Posted To: MSExchange Mailing List > Conversation: Is this a feature? > Subject: Is this a feature? > > > The Ex5.5 server I just started managing had a few years of > IIS log files > fill up C: ... there was less than 2MB free and NAV for > Exchange crashed.
