Have found .fav file and master copy for deployment sounds great. As
mentioned not too technical in these matters - any idea of the how to
write such a script? Presume it will be to copy master file (I can update
my own taskbar regularly and save to server) and overwrite file on local
PC's (when logging onto Windows? Outlook?).

If i can avoid the users having to manually run scripts this would help -
certain bosses?!!! prefer everything to work automatically.

I believe *.fav file keeps the Outlook Bar settings.  You can keep a
master
