This may not be strictly an Exchange Server question, but I am interested in how a message can fail to be delivered and no error message is received by the sender.
We run ES 5.5 SP4 on NT4.0 SP6. There have been no recent configuration changes apart from the installation of SP4. The system has been up and running satisfactorily for 2 years or more now. I had been advised that email had been sent to us and had not arrived, and no non-delivery report has been received by the sender. On Saturday last, the problem occurred to me while I was sending messages to the site from another internet mail account hosted at another ISP. Three emails were sent within a few minutes of each other, the first and third arriving correctly and speedily. The second did not arrive, and no non-delivery report has yet been received (now 2 days later). The first and third messages were to individual recipients at the site, the second message was to multiple recipients at the same site. Any thoughts would be most welcome.
