I asked this a little bit ago, but might have a little more info now that I have played with it a bit. Example is three sites A, B, C; A connected to B and B connected to C. I want to be able to grant a user/group permissions to initiate intersite replication. So far, granting view only rights on the Site object in Site A is enough to allow the user to request an update from B to A, or C to A. But the same rights in Site C are not enough to work for requesting B to C or A to C. I can't figure this out. I have tried granting Admin rights on the DirRep container as well as on the specific DirRep connection. But since it works in Site A with no more than View Only rights, what am I missing? Does anybody know conclusively what rights are needed for this? Thanks. Scott.
BTW, I just wanted to verify current permissions. Because the user needs to initiate intrasite replication in Site A, I have granted Modify Admin attributes on all server objects in Site A. That works for intrasite replication. This might be a factor for the intersite rep, so I thought I would mention it. Thanks. _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
