Well, I think by default not all 80k users would be displayed ADUC, so at most it would be whatever the default subset limit is... :)
Have you thought about just creating the users as mail enabled or mail enabling them via script instead of the UI? Perhaps the script at http://www.swinc.com/resource/scripts.htm might help.
