Of course, the budget conscious individual could always disable the automatic storage warnings, get the names of those over limit from the Info Store Mailbox Resources tab and send out emails of their own choosing to those who have exceeded the limit. Hmmm, Maybe even some scripting could accomplish this perhaps...
